Orontes River drainages and Qattinah-I Lake basin in Turkey and Syria.
Taxonomic notes.
Geiger et al. (2014) genetically identified some of the Orontes populations as Garra sp., Bayçelebi et al. (2018) supported this view and reported that these populations have not been defined yet. A detailed study is needed to reveal the taxonomic status of these populations.
