Type species: Neolarnaca vera Gorochov, 2004

Diagnosis. Smaller to medium-sized species with rather broad fastigium verticis and small ocelli. Wings shortened but longer than pronotum. Male ninth abdominal tergite with a pair of long spines pointing downwards and forwards and a pair of rounded elevations at bases of these spines; integument of ninth tergite slightly membranous between them. Female subgenital plate separated by a wide and rather long membranous area from unmodified seventh abdominal sternite; subgenital plate little sclerotized, rather soft and strongly setose, central area with a pair of shallow copulatory depressions. Ovipositor rather short, hook-shaped.
