Genus Cochylis Treitschke, 1829 View in CoL

This genus is distributed throughout the Palaearctic region (25 species), mainly in the steppe and steppe-forest zones; thus the species are more predominant in the western and central parts of the zone. Its range extends from the Nearctic region to the southern part of the Neotropics; the genus is represented by two species in the Oriental region ( Razowski 1970a).
