Ctenopharyngodon idella (Valenciennes, 1844) . Grass carp, carpa herbívora. Exotic.

Departments: Cortés and Santa Bárbara. Drainages: Atlantic slope: Chamelecón and Ulúa. Remarks: Introduced by government agencies in an attempt to strengthen aquaculture activities and provide animal protein to rural communities (D. Meyer, pers. comm.).

Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (Valenciennes, 1844) . Silver carp, carpa plateada. Exotic.
