Exochus Gravenhorst, 1829
status

Exochus Gravenhorst, 1829 View in CoL

Exochus may be recognized ( Gauld et al., 2002) by an obtusely to acutely pointed projection extending upwards a little above bases of antennae, outer spur of mid tibia shorter than inner one, fore wing without an enclosed areolet, metasoma without longitudinal carinae on tergite II. This group is known to parasitize a wide range of microlepidopterous larvae in leaf rolls, but the hosts of almost all Neotropical species are unknown.
