Key to Cybocephalidae from Japan
1. Eyes indistinctly visible in ventral aspect. Metaventrite ( Fig. 2 A) concave and short, about as long as mesoventrite. Apical margin of inter-metacoxal area of abdominal sternite III ( Fig. 2 A) narrow and acuminate ( Pastillus ). Antennae ( Fig. 8 K) tensegmented.................................................................. Pastillus eminentithorax sp. nov.
– Eyes distinctly visible in ventral aspect. Metaventrite ( Fig. 2 B) convex and elongate, longer than mesoventrite. Apical margin of inter-metacoxal area of abdominal sternite III ( Fig. 2 B) wide and broadly rounded ( Cybocephalus ).
