Type species: Coelura articulata Schött, 1917: 25 −26. Type locality: Alice River, 15o 30’N, 143o 15’E, north Queensland, Australia.
Main characters of the genus. Habitus slender; appendages long, including antennae, legs and furcula; scales absent; mucro falcate; dens with only slight crenellations.
