Material examined. Off Aurora Province, eastern Luzon, Philippines: 1 3 (CL 21.5 mm) ( ZRC 2009.0248), stn. CP 2747, 15º55.53’N 121º42.12’E, 124 m, 2 June 2007.
Distribution. This widespread species ranges from east Africa to Japan and Australia ( Galil 1997; Lai et al. 2006). It is closely allied to C. quadrimaculata Takeda & Shikatani, 1990 , which was described from Japan but also known from Taiwan (Ng et al. 1996) and the Philippines (Lai et al. 2006). The taxonomy of these two species has been revised by Lai et al. (2006).
