[ Karas ] Lüderitz : Aus , 26.6667°S 16.2667°E ( SMWN ) . Karasburg: 30 mil SE Keetmanshoop (AMNH). Remarks . Types of this species were not examined. It is phenetically very distinct from all others species of the genus because of the elytral pattern. Some South African specimens from southern Karoo, Eastern Cape and Free State have red-orange rather than yellow colouration of elytra; the taxonomic value of this form needs morphological and molecular studies.
