The
type
locality is
Réunion Island
, and the
type
material appears to be lost
;
it is not in MNHN, where most Deshayes
types
of
Recent
molluscs – formerly in
École des Mines
– are currently lodged.
The
present specimens from the
Austral Islands
are morphologically indistinguishable from modern material from
Réunion
in MNHN
.
