Myanmar : taung-kamaka . English : quassia wood. Range. Distributed in tropical southeastern Asia as far as the Solomon Islands. Widely distributed in Myanmar. Uses. Bark : On account of the bitterness of quassin in the bark, it has been substituted for quinine in Myanmar. Leaf : Applied to festering sores. Notes.
