Mesoscutal midlobe and most of mesoscutellar disc areolate-reticulate. Mesoscutellar disc posteromedially with coarsely areolate area lacking reticulate sculpture. Axillula areolate. Fore femur with brownish coloration. Petiole in females extending beyond hind coxal apex. Orasema stramineipes differs in having an entirely yellow fore femur ( Fig. 207 ). Orasema nyamo differs in having a pale flagellum ( Fig. 149 ) and subtly different mesoscutellar sculpture ( Fig. 150 ). FIGURES 267–268. Orasema yaax . ♀: 267. Propodeum. 268. Petiole. Description. Female. Length 3.0– 3.5 mm . Color: Head and mesosoma blue to green dorsally, becoming purple or dark blue ventrally. Pedicel pale brown; anellus pale brown; flagellum brown. Coxae blue green to purple dorsally, yellow ventrally; fore femur mostly brown, tips pale; mid and hind femora yellow. Fore wing hyaline; venation pale brown. Petiole dark green; gaster brown with blue to purple luster. Head: Head width:head height 1.1–1.2; face reticulate, becoming nearly smooth ventrally; longitudinal groove between eye and torulus absent; eyes bare, inter-ocular distance:eye height 1.5–2.2; malar space:eye height 0.8– 0.9; supraclypeal area longer than broad, mostly smooth, with weakly sculptured areas laterally; clypeus smooth. Flagellum length:head height 1.81; F2 3.4–3.6× as long as broad, 1.2–1.4× as long as F3; following funiculars subequal in width, progressively shorter. Mesosoma: Mesosoma length:height 1.2–1.4. Mesoscutal midlobe mostly areolate-reticulate, becoming areolate posteromedially, with minute setae; lateral lobe areolate-reticulate to nearly smooth. Axilla areolatereticulate to areolate; mesoscutellar disc mostly areolate-reticulate, becoming coarsely areolate posteriorly; frenal line irregularly foveate; frenum areolate-reticulate; axillular groove absent; axillula areolate. Propodeum without a median carina; propodeal disc mostly areolate, with some small areolate-reticulate areas; callus areolate-reticulate, with 3–5 setae. Mesepisternum reticulate dorsally, becoming areolate lateroventrally and mostly smooth ventrally, broadly rounded anterior to mid coxa. Upper mesepimeron mostly smooth, with small reticulate area posterodorsally; lower mesepimeron areolate-reticulate; transepimeral sulcus distinct. Metepisternum laterally reticulate. Hind coxa 2.1–2.5× as long as broad; hind femur 6.1–6.5× as long as broad. Fore wing 2.6–2.8× as long as broad, 2.6–3.0× as long as mesothorax; stigma with 4 sensilla separated into pairs. Hind wing costal cell with a broad bare area. Metasoma: Petiole 2.6–2.8× as long as broad, 1.0–1.1× as long as hind coxa, areolate to areolate-reticulate, anterior carina moderate. Antecostal sulcus crossed by carinae; acrosternite posteriorly rounded. Male . Unknown. Distribution. Honduras . Material examined.
