Syntypes (several specimens, [probably] in Grouvelle collection, in original description, with a male habitus illustrated) in MNHN [in Jeannel, 1936 , males and females]. Type locality: Cochabamba [Department], Bolivia . Distribution: Bolivia : Cochabamba Department ; Ecuador : Cotopaxi , Pichincha , and Zamora-Chinchipe Provinces; Peru : Cuzco and Huánuco Departments; Venezuela : Distrito Capital . Note 1: Considering the synonymic list in Jeannel, 1936: 152 , it seems that this species was misidentified as D. monilis Murray [1856] in Portevin, 1921: 535 . Note 2: Mexico (in caves): The records in Guerrero (in Szymczakowski, 1968: 18 , as a doubtful record) and in Chiapas (in Peck, 1973b: 105 , 1977: 186 ) are in error but the true identification of those specimens is not reported (SBP, personal data).
