Figures 11 , 36 Description. Female. Body length 3.1 mm , fore wing length 3.5 mm . Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 1.9× as wide as long and narrower than mesoscutum (32.2: 38.0). Temple less shiny and finely punctate, slightly constricted. Face 0.8× as high as wide, densely punctate, pubescent, inner margin of eyes parallel. Ocelli on low triangle, the posterior tangent to the anterior ocellus slightly cutting the posterior pair, distance between fore and a hind ocellus shorter than diameter of an ocellus, POL:OD:OOL=5.0:2.8:4.0. Antenna slightly shorter than body, penultimate antennomere slightly transverse to cubic. Mesosoma. Stout, Length:breadth:height=57.0:38.0:40.0. Disc of mesonotum shiny, punctate, interspaces not smaller than diameter of punctures except along notaulices, pubescent. Scutellar sulcus slightly curved, relatively narrow with carinae in between. Scutellum polished, smooth only with shallow punctuation along sides. Propodeum shiny, with long setose punctures on brow, strongly strigose above orifice, rugose medially, posteriorlateral field polished, hind corners distinctly raised. Mesopleuron highly polished, with shallow fine punctures anteriorly. Legs. Spines on outer side of hind tibia dense. Spurs of hind tibia of equal size, 2/5 length of basitarsus. Dolichogenidea fumeus Liu & Chen , sp. n. a head, dorsal view; b head, frontal view; c propodeum and metasoma, dorsal view; d fore wing; e hind wing; f mesonotum and scutellum; g habitus, lateral view. Scale line = 0.5 mm. Wings. Pterostigma 2.5× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 (metacarp) 1.2× longer than pterostigma, 6.4× as long as its distance from the apex of the marginal cell. Vein r arising from middle of pterostigma, almost as long as width of pterostigma, vein r 1.7× longer than vein 2-SR, distinctly angled at their meeting, vein 2-M 5/7 length of vein 2-SR. 1 st discal cell as wide as high. 1 st submarginal cell of hind wing 1.3× wider than high. Vein cu-a strongly curved inward, vannal lobe beyond its widest part evenly convex. Metasoma. Shorter than mesosoma (52.6:57.0). T1 parallel-sided, 1.3× longer than wide posteriorly, basal twofifth indistinctly concave and polished, turned-over part polished, shiny with shallow punctures, hind corners with weak rugulose, hind tubercle polished. T2 evenly curved into T3, 5.3× wider than long in the middle, mostly polished and shiny except a little uneven to subrugulose anteriorly. T3 1.4× as long as T2, tergites after T2 highly polished, shiny and pubescent. Ovipositor sheath 3/4 length of hind tibia, markedly wider beyond anterior fourth (as wide as length of 2nd hind tarsus). Colour. Body black. Tegula dark brown. Palpi and spurs pale yellow. Antenna dark brown, slightly lighter apically. Ovipositor sheath evenly dark brown. Labrum and mandible dark reddish yellow, apex of mandible lighter. Legs bright reddish yellow, except coxae black and apical half of hind tibia fumous. Wings fumous, vein 1- R1, C+SC+ R and pterostigma brown, r, 2-SR, 2-M and other light brown, pterostigma with pale basal spot. Variation. Wings of some specimens not fumous. Male. Similar to female, except: T1 obviously longer (1.7× longer than wide posteriorly); basal 10 penultimate antennomeres almost of even size (3.0× longer than wide) (remaining flagellomeres missing),; and punctures on mesosoma shallower. China ( Anhui , Fujian , Guizhou , Hebei , Henan , Hubei , Shandong , Sichuan , Zhejiang ). Etymology. The specific name “ fumeus ” derived from the Latin adjective, referring to the fumous wings. Remarks. This species is similar to D. laticauda Chen et Song but differs from the latter by the following: ovipositor sheath shorter than hind tibia (the latter equal with hind tibia plus 2nd hind tarsus); T2 much shorter than T3; and propodeum rugose medially.
