North Island . 0/1/0, Makotuku stream, Horopito , 39° 20.796 S 175° 22.686 E , alt. 563 m asl, 10-xii-2014 . South Island . 1/0/0, Cardrona River , upstream, between Queenstown and Wanaka , 44° 56.625 S 168° 57.749 E , alt. 725 m asl, 25-xii-2014 . FIGURE 2A–E. Planaturus pileatus n. sp . , holotype female. A = dorsum; B = venter; C = gnathosoma + palp; D = P1 3; E = IV-leg 2 6. Scale bars = 50 µm. FIGURE 3A–F. Planaturus serratus n. sp . , holotype female. A = dorsum; B = venter; C = gnathosoma + palp; D = P3 5; E = IV-leg-3 6; F = IV-leg-1 2. Scale bars = 50 µm. Remarks . The male of Cardrona River has a more deeply indented and less wide hood (see fig. 4A), but is otherwise similar. This male is ventrally 332 long and 211 wide, the dorsal shield is 243 long which is much smaller than the measurements given by Cook (1983) . The holotype is ventrally 714 long and 456 wide, the dorsal shield is 502 long. But based on the image of the holotype placed on the website of the Museum in Wellington , including scale bar, the holotype is only 333 long and the dorsal shield measures 214. Therefore, I assume that some errors have occurred in the measurements of the type series.
