To date, they have been noted from passerines of the following families: Cardinalidae , Emberizidae , Fringillidae , Icteridae , Laniidae , Motacillidae , Muscicapidae , Prunellidae , and Troglodytidae ( Skoracki et al . 2012 ) . Below, we describe a new species found on Pteroptochos tarnii (King) , which represents a new host family ( Rhinocryptidae ) for the genus Aulonastus .
