Habitat Interstitial. Remarks Theama occidua was originally described by Sopott-Ehlers & Schmidt (1975) . Subsequently, Faubel (1983) established the genus Eutheama and determined T. occidua as the type species, based on an unarmed penis papilla; however, Curini-Galletti et al. (2008) conducted a detailed review of the reproductive system of the species and observed the presence of a small sclerotized area in the internal ejaculatory duct. Based on this character, they transferred the species back to the genus Theama and established Eutheama as a junior synonym of the genus Theama .
