Type locality. France . Material examined. None. Comment. No material of this species can be located in the Museum d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, where one would expect Quatrefages’s material to be lodged. The original description is too brief to allow it to be coded. Attempts to recollect material from the type locality or find additional material collected from there were unsuccesful. We therefore agree that P. pellucida is a species inquirenda as previously suggested by Hartman (1959) .
