Etymology : Named Nathalia after Nathalia Rodrigues Lencioni (b. 26.vii.2000 ) my beloved daughter + agrion , neuter form of agrios (ἄγριος) meaning “wild”, which in damselflies is now used as an indicator that the genus belongs to the Coenagrionidae ( Fliedner 2006 ) . Generic characterization. Large Coenagrionidae ( 61–69 mm ), pale postocular spots and pale occipital bar absent, rear of the head pale, cerci longer than S10, basal 1/2 of cerci roughly cylindrical flattened laterally, apical 1/2 bifurcated, dorsal branch simple with tip covered with brush-like setae, ventral branch bifurcated and directed medially, posterior section of ventral branch wider and with a heavily chitinized tip, anterior section narrow, and nail shaped, paraproctus vestigial (plate-like) and ental surface of penis S3 with a long filament.
