Now Dicrurus leucophaeus longicaudatus Jerdon, 1862 . See Hartert, 1928: 191 ; Vaurie, 1949b: 247 ; 1962: 142–143 ; Dickinson, 2003: 691–692 ; and Rocamora and Yeatman-Berthelot, 2009: 220–221 . HOLOTYPE : AMNH 672036 , immature male, collected at Trincomalee (= Trincomali) 08.34N , 81.13E ( Lozupone et al., 2004 ), Sri Lanka (= Ceylon), on 22 December 1874 (not 23 December, as in description), by W.V. Legge. From the Rothschild Collection. COMMENTS: The holotype is the only Legge specimen of this form that came to AMNH with the Rothschild collection. As noted by Vaurie (1949b: 247) , it is immature and was marked ‘‘juv s’’ by Legge. Two other AMNH specimens that are undated are not considered paratypes . However, inclusive measurements were given by Stuart Baker for minimus , and such specimens in other institutions measured by him would be paratypes .
