The larvae develop in stems of Phragmites australis . Further material: 9♂ 9♀ , NIGER : Aïr Massif , Wadi Iberkom , 18°55'N 08°40'E , 24.viii.1983 , P.C. Matteson ( NMWC ). From this material two females dissected have each been found to contain a single large egg, in one of which a segmented larva with discernible cephaloskeleton was clearly visible. The male terminalia are illustrated ( Plate 7 , Fig. 31).
