Diagnosis. Gonocoxite with basal subtriangular expansion, and one arm, thinner, curved with rounded apex; one pair of projections in the aedeagal complex convergents that join apically, with mediolateral bristles and two setulae apically; ejaculatory apodeme short, as long as gonostylus.

Description. Male. Head subcircular in frontal view. Antenna incomplete in the studied specimens; scape subcylindrical and pedicel subspherical; basal flagellomeres pyriform and centric ( Fig. 44A View FIGURES 44 A – F ); ascoids 1.4 times as long as the length of flagellomere. Palpus three segmented; first segment with sensilla in depressed pit on medial surface; palpus formula 1.0:0.6:0.7 ( Fig. 44B View FIGURES 44 A – F ). Wing. R4+5 with base unsclerotized; r-m unsclerotized and m-cu absent ( Fig. 44C View FIGURES 44 A – F ). Male terminalia: Hypandrium and gonocoxites fused with basal subtriangular expansion. One arm of gonocoxite, expanded at the base, curved, with mediolateral bristles and two setulae apically. Gonostylus slightly sclerotized, articulated ventrally to gonocoxite, bare, curved and subtriangular. Presence of one pair of projections in the aedeagal complex convergents that join apically. Aedeagus bifid truncated apically ( Fig. 44F View FIGURES 44 A – F ). Ejaculatory apodeme short, the same length as gonostylus. Epandrium subquadrangular, with rounded apex. Cercus digitiform with long hairs in lateral view ( Fig. 44D View FIGURES 44 A – F ) Hypoproct with apical micropilosity ( Fig. 44E View FIGURES 44 A – F ).

Etymology. Named in honor of Dorothy Stang, missionary, sustainable development defender in the Amazon rainforest.
