Hypoproct microtrichia-covered, with spiniform microtrichia ventrobasally ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ), with two lateral, elongated, cylindrical lobes, divergent at base and covered with spiniform microtrichia throughout, continuing as a dorsoventrally flattened, apically bilobed lamella with shallow emargination and a prominent seta on each lobe. Hypoproct about two thirds length of aedeagus. Mediobasal lobe of gonocoxite entire, elongated, cylindrical, thin to wider and dorsoventrally flattened apex bearing few setae, microtrichose throughout; as long as aedeagus. Etymology. The “paratudal” is a natural vegetative formation composed almost exclusively by one species (consortium) in the Pantanal biome as a result of edaphic and/or hydrological factors. The dominant tree species is the yellow-ipê, Tabebuia aurea (Silva Manso) Benth. & Hook. f ex. S. Moore, popularly known in Pantanal as “paratudo”, meaning “for everything”. The specific name should be treated as a noun in apposition.
