( Figs 75, 76 View FIGURES 73 − 76 , Table 2)

Type material. ♂ Holotype: Mitchell River Settlement , Qld. 30.iv.70, A.L.Dyce \ from large open cavity 3' above ground level in mango tree \ larva in spirit collection ( ANIC).

Habitus. Oval, with wide head. BL 2.6 mm, BL/BW ~1.55. HCW equals ~64% of BW. Antennae filiform, not serrate. Head and pronotum bright reddish brown, elytra a little darker brown.

Male. Segments 8 and 9 as in congeners ( Table 2). Genitalia similar to P. bidentatus but differ by more slender, basally less wide parameres with only shallow furrow for genital hook whose bend is more rounded, less angular ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 73 − 76 ) than in P. bidentatus . Prosthemes more slender and finely serrate along outer edge. Parameroid strong and longer than prosthemes and phallic lobes, base concealed. Crown of fine plicae at base of phallic lobes ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 73 − 76 ) more exposed than in P. bidentatus . Basal connection between two lobes bearing a few delicate triangular teeth. Female. Unknown.

Note. I have not seen the larva mentioned on the type label.

Etymology. The Latin adjective serratus describes the serrate outer edge of the prosthemes.
