Lectotype (Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 4: 244. 1920): Herb. Linn. No. 882.26 ( LINN) , see opposite.

Current name: Polygala chinensis L. ( Polygalaceae ).

Note: See discussion by Burtt (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 32: 403-404. 1973) who proposed (though not formally) the rejection of the name. However, it appears to have continued in use.
