NOTES. It is small-sized species with the body length 2.2–2.5 mm. Head, pronotum and elytra brown colored; elytra elongated and nearly parallel-sided; surface with cream-white lateral, adsutural and posterior spots, which is the diagnostic character easily distinguished from other members of Aderidae ; antennae, fore and mid legs light brown, hind legs darkened.

The head barely visible from dorsal view and strongly deflexed, with rudimentary tempora; antennae shorter than its body length; antennomeres elongated or as long as width, antennomere XI with basal part subcylindrical, narrowing rapidly, and apical part asymmetrical, pointed and subconical. The pronotum bell-shaped, lateral margins distinctly recurved posteriorly, forming a neck-like structure. Both sexes share the similar appearance ( Jałoszyński et al., 2013). This species is widely distributed in Taiwan.

DISTRIBUTION. Taiwan (new record), Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Russia (European part, south part of Far East), Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Japan, Northeast Territory of China ( Nardi, 2008).
