Lectotype (designated here by Reveal): Clayton 556, Herb. Linn. No. 220.4 ( LINN; iso- BM-000051652) .

Current name: Phacelia dubia (L.) Trel. ( Hydrophyllaceae ).

Note: Although Fernald (in Rhodora 46: 54. 1944) noted that he had seen a photograph of the type, he did not specify which collection he considered this to be.
