Type locality. Approximately 5 kms south-west of Bunbury , Western Australia .

Material examined. 2 males, 1 female, AM P.85239, wreck of MV ‘ Chofuko Maru ’, Ningaloo Reef (22°51’43"S 113°6’37"E) 12 m, dead coral head, 26 May 2009, coll. L.E. Hughes, RV Capricornus , CReefs Ningaloo 2009 (MI WA 1056, NR09 64) ; 1 male specimen, AM P.85240, wreck of Chofuko Maru , Ningaloo Reef Cloates, Ningaloo Reef (22 37.390S, 113 39.191E) 7 m, 27 May 2009, RV Ecklonia , CReefs Ningaloo 2009 ( NR09 071) .

Remarks. These new records extend the known distribution of Parelasmopus echo further north along the Western Australian coast.
