Rhinoppia Balogh, 1983 View in CoL

Type-species: Oppia nasuta Moritz, 1965

Diagnosis: Rostrum smooth or incised; costulae absent or reduced to the bothridial costulae that exist between the bothridia and the interlamellar setae; interbothridial tubercles present; sensilli fusiform or pectinate; setae c2 present; notogastral cristae absent; anterior edge of notogaster without humeral process; ten pairs of notogastral setae; genital plates with six pairs of setae, exceptionally five; lyrifissures iad paraanal in position.

Remarks: Here, we do not consider the pair of short ridges extending across the sejugal groove—present in all Rhinoppia —as cristae. Rhinoppia are distinguished from Oppiella by the absence of costulae (or reduction to bothridial costulae), notogastral cristae, and humeral process on the anterior notogaster.
