Type host: Meleagris gallopavo Linnaeus (Phasianidae) . Type locality: USA.

This species was originally described as Kalamotrypetes pavodaptes Casto collected ex Meleagris pavodaptes (Meleagridae) from Texas ( USA) ( Casto 1980). All characters of this species perfectly correspond to that of Mironovia (see genus Kalamotrypetes ).
