Remarks. Wang et al. (2012a) suggested that Lytta choui is similar to L. suturella ( Motschulsky, 1860) , but can be distinguished by the following characters: “head with a rhombic orange spot on frontal; bearing two protibial spurs, the inner one long and stout, the outer one shorter and thin; 8th tergum sharply angulate on margin; the hollow of the front margin of prothorax shallow; median lobe with a well-developed ventral spine”. We examined the type of L. choui and other specimens from Mt. Xiaowutai (the type locality of L. choui ) identified as L. suturella , and conclude that the above features do not support L. choui as a valid species. Therefore, L. choui is synonymized with L. suturella .
