Imparipes (Imparipes) obsoletus Rack, 1966

World distribution. This species has a world-wide distribution, inhabits soil and is phoretic on various ant species, such as Lasius flavus (F.), L. umbratus (Nylander, 1846) ., L. alienus (Foerster, 1850) , L. (Lasius) niger (Linnaeus, 1758) , L. (Dendrolasius) fuliginosus (Latreille, 1798) , Formica (Serviformica) fusca Linnaeus, 1758 , F. (Serviformica) rufibarbis Fabricius, 1793 and Messor spp. ( Khaustov 2008; Khaustov & Tolstikov 2016).

Material examined. Four specimens of this mite species were obtained in a vial containing ethanol 75% and 11 specimens of Lasius spp. ants, collected by a light trap in Alangdareh Forest Park , Gorgan, Golestan Province, northern Iran, 36.46°N, 54.26°E, altitude 432 m., coll. Remarks. This species is a new record for mite fauna of Iran.
