Description. See Komai (2004b).

Colouration in fresh condition. Adult ( Fig. 1E View Fig ). Rostrum red; carapace anterior part (postrostral to postorbital regions, branchiostegal spines and posterior branchiostegites) also red, dorsum and anterior branchiostegites white; pleon generally reddish, dorsally paler; cornea pigmented, reflective; antennae, thoracic, and pleonal appendages red.

Juvenile ( Fig. 1F View Fig ). Body entirely whitish in general; basal part of rostrum and anterior part of carapace with tinge of red; cornea pigmented, reflective as in adults; antennae pale pink; maxilliped 3 and pereopod 1 pink, pereopods 2–5 semi-translucent.

Distribution. Known only from Indonesia; 200–1,112 m ( Komai, 2004b; this study).

Remarks. The living colouration of this species is described in this study for the first time. As illustrated, the overall colouration changes with growth in this species.
