COMMENTS: In the original description, Rothschild designated as type the specimen collected at Tamatave on 21 August 1891 and noted that he had three specimens. The two paratypes are: Tamatave, AMNH 725620 View Materials , adult male, collected on 17 July 1891 ; Ankoraka, AMNH 725621 View Materials , adult male, collected on 7 March 1891. All three of these specimens were bought from A. Boucard .
