Lectotype (Tryon in Rhodora 41: 417, pl. 557. 1939): Clayton 553 (BM-000051655).

Current name: Calystegia spithamaea (L.) Pursh View in CoL ( Convolvulaceae ).

Note: Tryon’s pl. 557 clarifies that the "type specimen" is clearly Clayton 553 (BM).
