Type locality. La Pedrera, Colombia .

Distribution. Known from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, mostly in Amazonia ( Plt. 50A View Plate 50 ). In Brazil, widespread in western Amazonia ( Plt. 50A View Plate 50 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 50B View Plate 50 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Campbell and Lamar (2004). Observed in the field in forest and disturbed areas ( Campbell and Lamar, 2004).
