Material examined. GHANA. 1/0/0, Inlet Volta River at Kpong , 6° 09.183N 0° 03.709 W, alt 25 m asl, 10-iii- 2011 GoogleMaps .

Remarks. The specimen from Ghana has a longer posterior cleft than the specimens from Cameroon (K. Viets 1916) and Liberia ( Cook 1966). However, as it is similar in all aspects, I assigned it to that species. More material is needed to elucidate the variability of A. insecutus . The male reported by Lundblad (1949) has a long posterior medial cleft, but its idiosoma shape is different, without posterolateral corners of the cauda.
