Description, female. Body length 4.85 mm. Head with dark blue reflection; mesosoma with dark green reflection and metapectal-propodeal disc black; wings subhyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head long. Mandible with five distal teeth, wide, curved, with two upper teeth wider than others. Median clypeal lobe rounded, very short; median clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus. Frons coriaceous ; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye small. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli very small. Vertex straight. Pronotal disc as long as wide, punctate; transverse pronotal carina complete; posterior margin with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow. Metapectal-propodeal disc long; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges present; metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused with first metapostnotal carina; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea closed; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia spinose; claws bifid. Metasomal segments densely setose. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv as long as genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, smoothly narrowing apicad; 3vv short; 1vf strongly curved forward; 2vf slender, angled, and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv strongly curved forward, ventral process large, and posterior process short; 2rv strongly curved forward.

Material examined. Holotype, ♀, NICARAGUA, Granada, Volcan Mombacho, El Progreso 3, 11°49'34"N 85°58'03"W, 15.v.1998,—Mal[aise] trap, J.M. Maes col[ector] ( SEAN). Paratype (1). COSTA RICA, Heredia, 1 ♀, La Selva Biol[ogic] Sta[tion], 1–6.vi.1993, B. Brown & D. Fenner [collectors] ( CNCI).

Distribution. Nicaragua; Costa Rica.

Remarks. This new species differs from A. dietrichorum by having the body with dark green reflection and metapectal-propodeal disc black; the clypeus very short and rounded, and with the clypeal carina hardly distinct from the clypeus; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle acute; the ocelli very small; the metapostnotal carinae reaching the posterior margin of the metapostnotum; the metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused with the first metapostnotal carina; the lower fovea and mesopleural suture closed; and the mesotibia with distal spines, whereas A. dietrichorum has the body black; the clypeus short and angulate, and with the clypeal carina distinct from the clypeus; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle forming a right angle; the ocelli small; the metapostnotal carinae not reaching posterior margin of metapostnotum; the metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; the lower fovea and mesopleural suture opened; and the mesotibia without distal spines.
