Description, female. Body length 4.69 mm. Head and mesosoma black; wings subhyaline; metasoma dark castaneous. Head long. Mandible with five distal teeth, wide, curved, step-shaped, and with two upper teeth wider than others. Median clypeal lobe rounded, very short. Frons coriaceous ; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli very small. Vertex strongly convex. Pronotal disc as long as wide, sparsely punctate; transverse pronotal carina complete; posterior margin with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectalpropodeal disc long; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused with first metapostnotal carina; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea opened; lower fovea divided; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose; claws trifid. Metasomal segments densely setose. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv as long as genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, smoothly narrowing apicad; 3vv short; 1vf strongly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv slightly curved forward, ventral process large, and posterior process long; 2rv strongly curved forward.

Material examined. Holotype, ♀, BRAZIL, Amazonas, Manaus, Reserva Campina , 02°35'25”S 60°01'49”W, 08–19.vi.1992, Adesiva, Vidal col[etor] ( INPA) GoogleMaps . Paratypes (2). BRAZIL, Amazonas, 1 ♀, Manaus, Reserva 1401, Gavião , 18–30.ix.1995, arm[adilha] Malaise ( INPA) ; 1 ♀, Manaus , mata, 01–11.xii.1997, arm[adilha] suspensa baixa ( INPA) .

Distribution. Brazil: Amazonas.

Remarks. This new species differs from A. columbianus ( Ashmead, 1893) by having the head longer than wide; the clypeus very short,and the median clypeal carina distinct from the clypeus; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle acute; and the mesopleuron with the anterior fovea longer than the posterior fovea, whereas A. columbianus has the head wider than long; the clypeus short and the median clypeal carina hardly distinct; the antennal scrobe carinate; the frontal angle of the ocellae forming a right angle; and the mesopleuron with the anterior fovea as long as the posterior fovea.
