Description, female. Body length 4.62 mm. Head with golden-green reflection; wings bi-banded; metasoma dark castaneous. Head long. Mandible with five distal teeth, narrow, slightly angled, and with two upper teeth wider than others. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short, with apical margin truncate. Frons coriaceous ; with frontal process; antennal scrobe carinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli very small. Vertex convex. Pronotal disc as long as wide, strongly coriaceous ; transverse pronotal carina present, incomplete; posterior margin with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow. Metapectal-propodeal disc long; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges present; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina present and inconspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea opened; lower fovea opened; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture opened. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose; claws trifid. Metasomal segments sparsely setose. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv as long as genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, abruptly narrowing apicad; 3vv short; 1vf strongly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv slightly curved forward, ventral process small, and posterior process long; 2rv slightly curved forward.

Material examined. Holotype, ♀, BRAZIL, Amazonas, Manaus, Puraquequara, 03°06'S 60°01'W, 07.xii.1998, arm[adilha] Möricke, J.F. Vidal col[etor] ( INPA). Paratypes (6). BRAZIL, Acre, 1 ♀, 14.iii.1998, FIT, H & A. Howden ( CNCI); Amazonas, 5 ♀, Manaus, Puraquequara, 07.xii.1998, arm[adilha] Möricke, J.F. Vidal col[etor] ( INPA).

Distribution. Brazil: Amazonas, Acre.

Remarks. This new species differs from A. pulchripennis by having the body with golden-green reflection; the clypeus short, with the apical margin truncate, and the clypeal carina distinct from the clypeus; the antennal scrobe carinate; the ocelli very small; the transverse pronotal carina present; the posterior margin with a posterior pronotal sulcus; the notaulus narrow; the metapostnotum without longitudinal ridges; and the mesopleural suture opened, whereas A. pulchripennis has the body black; the clypeus very short, with the apical margin angulate, and clypeal carina hardly distinct from the clypeus; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the ocelli small; the posterior margin without a posterior pronotal sulcus; the transverse pronotal carina absent; the notaulus very narrow; the metapostnotum without longitudinal ridges; and the mesopleural suture closed.
