Material examined. Tamil Nadu: ZRC, 1 male (TL 76 mm), PaZhayar Fish Landing, Nagapattinam, TN 170911 /2, coll. R. Lasley, B.Y. Lee & N.K. Ng, 17 September 2011.
Remarks. Anchisquilla fasciata has been reported from the eastern coast of India including Mandapam and Parangipettai.
Distribution. Western Indian Ocean to India, the South China Sea, Taiwan and Japan; shallow subtidal to about 50 m (Ahyong et al. 2008).
