Published records. Mexico: Colima, Jalisco ( Polhemus & Polhemus 1981; Reynoso-Velasco & Sites 2018a, 2018b, 2019b).

New state records. Mexico: Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca .

Distribution. The hitherto known distribution of this species included only a few localities from the adjacent states of Colima and Jalisco. At present, we know this is a species distributed exclusively in Mexico, along the central and southern portions of the western coast ( Fig. 5 ). The species exhibits a typical neotropical distribution that includes the narrow area of the Pacific Lowlands biogeographic province, from Nayarit south to Oaxaca. The shown apparent disjunct distribution is most likely due the lack of collecting localities along the coast in the state of Guerrero (see Reynoso-Velasco & Sites 2019b). The author has collected in numerous places along the coast of Chiapas and has not found A. colimanus ; thus, it is probable that the species is not distributed south of the Tehuantepec Isthmus.
