Differential diagnosis. The largest member of the genus (ca. 1.72 mm), differentiated from other Adelphydraena by the combination of large size, the chordate pronotum with markedly angulate lateral margins, the ovate elytra lacking serrate margins, the comparatively large metaventral plaques ( Fig. 13 ), and the aedeagus ( Fig. 5 ).

New collection records: Venezuela: Bolívar prov., La Gran Sabana, Yaro Parú, 29.11. 2012, 889 m a.s.l., 04°55‘03.6‘‘ N, 61°05‘32.4‘‘ W, F. Čiampor, Loc 50 (7 specimens, IBE, MCZ and PSBC). One male used for DNA extraction and sequencing (specimen voucher IBE-AN495). La Gran Sabana, Mikicaok Paru, 1.12. 2012, 878 m a.s.l., 04°56’32.6’’ N, 61°05’14.9’’ W, F. Čiampor, Loc 60 (4 specimens, IBE, PSBC); one female used for DNA extraction and sequencing (specimen voucher IBE-AN496). La Gran Sabana, San Francisco env., Usaiwek, 1.12. 2012, 879 m a.s.l., 05°01’06.7’’ N, 61°06’50.9’’ W, F. Čiampor, Loc 61 (6 specimens, IBE, PSBC); one female used for DNA extraction and sequencing (specimen voucher IBE-AN712) .

Remarks. The habitus images ( Figs. 4 , 13 ) are of a female specimen collected at La Gran Sabana, Mikicaok Paru. The aedeagus drawing ( Fig. 5 ) is of a specimen collected at La Gran Sabana, Yaro Parú.
