Genetic data. BIN: BOLD:AAJ9519 (n=3 from Ethiopia; n=1 from Cameroon; maximum variation 0.8%). Nearest species: Z. hero Prout, 1921 (6.4%).
Distribution. Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia ( Fletcher 1974). New for the fauna of Ethiopia.
Remarks. Genetically 2.6 % divergent from a DNA barcode from Mt. Nimba, Guinea (locus typicus) but identical with the DNA barcode of a specimen from south-western Cameroon. Further research is needed to decide if a cryptic species is the reason for this genetic divergence. Genitalia similar to the figure of the type in Fletcher (1974).
