Type material. Holotype ( Figs 1 View Figures 1–8 , 9 View Figures 9–12 ): male, “N-Vietnam 1600m | [border of Lai Châu and Lào Cai Provinces] Mt. Fan-si-pan(Nord) | Cha-pa, Primärurwald [primary jungle] | 22.17'' N 103.44 ''E [22°17'N 103°44'E] | 20.–30.IV.1995 | leg. V. Sinjaev [recte: Sinyaev] & | Einheim. Paratypes: VIETNAM: 6 males, 1 female, the same data as in the holotype , ♂ preparation in glycerol, and slide No. ZSM Arct. 2019-1120 ♀ (prepared by Volynkin) (MWM/ ZSM) .
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 13.0–13.5 mm in males and 15.0 mm in the female paratype. Yeldosia anomala sp. n. ( Figs 1, 2 View Figures 1–8 ) is externally reminiscent of the sympatric G. vietnamica Dubatolov, 2012 ( Figs 7, 8 View Figures 1–8 ) having fundamentally different genitalia of both sexes, but differs in the darker, lead grey forewing ground colour, and the male forewing cell bearing an elongate cluster of androconial scales proximally. The genitalia of both sexes ( Figs 9 View Figures 9–12 , 13 View Figures 13–16 ) are described and diagnosed above under the genus Yeldosia gen. n.
Distribution. Northern Vietnam (border of Lai Châu and Lào Cai Provinces).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin ‘anomalus’ meaning ‘anomalous’ and refers to the unusual male genitalia structure of the new species. The name is an adjective in apposition to the generic name.
