Distribution. Brazil (Minas Gerais and Goiás [new record] states) ( Fig. 39 View FIGURE 39 ).

Remarks. Xiphocentron acqualume has an inferior appendage length and the inferior appendage spines similar to the Caribbean species X. prolixum . However, X. acqualume has no mesal sclerite, differing in this character from X. prolixum and its similar species X. kamakan . The species occurs in the Paraná and Tocantins Basins, with records from the Cerrado of Minas Gerais and Goiás ( Fig. 39 View FIGURE 39 ).
