Xenispa collaris ( Waterhouse, 1881) comb. nov.
Homalispa collaris Waterhouse, 1881: 264 View in CoL (type locality: ‘ Ecuador, Sarayacu’ after introduction; ST! in BMNH!).
Remarks. WATERHOUSE (1881) described this species in Homalispa and subsequent authors accepted his opinion (i.e. UHMANN 1957a), however, the specimen does not have protruding mouthparts like other Homalispa species. Therefore, it is transfered here to Xenispa based on general shape and the serrate apicolateral margins of the elytra.
Distribution. Ecuador: Pastaza ( WATERHOUSE 1881).
