Terrestrial shrubs. Distribution in PILA 1900– 1900 m, cloud forest. Global distribution: Endemic to Costa Rica. Records: D. Santamaría 5853 ( INB) .

Material of this species was identified as an undescribed species by P. W. Fritsch ( CAS, pers. comm. 2010), but material is yet insufficient to describe it.
