Material examined. New Zealand: WI: Palmerston North , 4 females, 21 May 1986, C.F. Mercer, ex ryegrass/fescue hybrid. NN: The Glen, Dixons Farm, 1 female, 20. Nov. 1971, host/habitat not recorded but presumably soil sample (site 2, sample 39) .
Remarks. Martin (1983) recorded this species from soil samples collected from the Parks and Sons Farm in Wakefield, Nelson. He noted that the pasture consisted of mainly ryegrass ( Lolium spp. ) and clovers ( Trifolium dubium , T. repens and T. subterraneum ).
