Range:— Costa Rica to Bolivia (CO, LP) and Brazil.
Ecology:— Common; terrestrial in humid forests; 700–2000 m.
Notes:— This higher-elevation representative of the species group around Saccoloma inaequale was recently elevated to species rank by Rojas-Alvarado (2010).
